At an altitude of over 5,000 feet in the heights of the Sierra

many Americans and Canadians (fondly referred to as "gringos"
down here) who have chosen to make their homes in the charming
village of Ajijic (ahh-hee-HEEK), or one of the several other
villages along the north shore. For most, it's a dream come
true and far better than they ever expected!

What you can expect from me
 I will showcase your home twenty-four hours a day on the Internet at www.mlsmexico.com, www.ajijic.com, and my own website, www.AliceinAjijic.com
for maximum exposure.
I will "sell to the sellers." That is, I will let
all the qualified Realtors in the Lakeside area know about your
property. I have a friendly relationship with them all, and act
as Liaison Officer between Realtors and Brokers.
I will place signs on your property so that people passing by
can see that your home is for sale. The signs will have my name
on them so that prospective buyers can contact me directly or
the Ajijic Real Estate office.
I will help you with your inventory and get it into a computer
so that it will be complete and ready for your signature.
I will have flyers at your home and other appropriate locations.
I will keep you up-to-date on showings of your property.

"While planning a "discovery" trip to Lake Chapala, we contacted Alice and asked if she would be willing to show us some Lakeside properties.
We were just checking out the area and were very honest with her, telling her we probably wouldn't be buying for a couple of years. We gave her some ideas about our budget and other needs and she quickly agreed to choose some properties to show to us when we visited a month later.
We spent a full day checking out homes throughout the area. Alice was great at pointing out the possible upsides and downsides of various locations. She then invited us to take a property tour the next day, which was well worth the time. During the tour we asked if she could show us some properties in Aijic proper, since before we had looked at homes in various neighborhoods and in Chapala, but nothing in the village of Ajijic.
Alice was very gracious and did some quick research. So on the day before our return home, we set out with Alice to check out homes in Ajijic. She had taken what she learned about us to select a couple of properties. The first property fit us like a glove and we made an offer that day.
Since we had to leave the next morning, Alice stepped in and helped us all throughout the purchase and well beyond. She acted as our surrogate, chasing paperwork, resolving issues and communicating with us all that we needed to bring with us to the closing. In addition, she spent a great deal of time taking and e-mailing photos of furniture that we wanted to purchase from the previous owners.
A few months later, we had a week to close on the house and get it furnished before heading back to the States. During that week Alice spent a day taking us to Tonalá to shop for furniture. She also introduced us to an excellent property manager and shared several meals with us.
Alice is more than just our Lakeside realtor; we became good friends. In our opinion, she went way beyond what we would have expected from a professional real estate agent".
